Privacy Shield for a Desktop Webcam. I recently discovered that LED lights on webcams are controlled by firmware rather than being directly connected to the device. This means a hacker could potentially access my webcam without turning on the light, so I printed this privacy shield. It is designed around the Logitech Orbit Sphere, but it should be compatible with most free-standing webcams. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Mendel Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: N/A Post-Printing It fits snugly, and after I've painted it, I plan to line the inner surface of the cylindrical part with cloth or felt to prevent accidental scratches on the webcam.
