Description
I wanted a webcam cover that was easier to mount than the ones typically found online. I also wanted it to have more surface area to have a stronger bond to the laptop. I found those characteristics on one of the designs found online (see Acknowledgments section). However, the lid portion of it was too loose, at least printed on my printer. I also wanted it a bit smaller without sacrificing the surface area for bonding it to the laptop. So, I designed this Webcam Cover, smaller and with tighter tolerances. I use it with my HP Spectre 15.6" 2018 Model. I have also tried it with an HP Pavilion 15.6" 2016 Model and a Dell Inspiron 15.6" 2013 Model. It works great on all of them.

Mounting
Insert the lid part (might need a slight flex or bend) into the lid rails in the base. It might be tight to slide in, but it should be smooth after inserting it completely. Put double sided tape (I use 3M 300LSE from Amazon which is the one that comes on some LED Light strips). Cut the tape out of the sight window and the perimeter of the assembly. Mount the Webcam Cover Assembly in front of your laptop's webcam.

Disclaimer
The tolerances are suited for my specific 3D Printer, it might not work the same on yours. The STEP files are provided, so feel free to modify them to better suit your needs and 3D Printer capabilities.

Acknowledgements
This design is based on the Webcam Cover by s_gutz on Thingiverse.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2764105
