Web Cam Mounting Armature
thingiverse
To monitor prints and capture time-lapse shots, I constructed a swiveling webcam arm that attaches to a 1" PVC fume hood for my Afinia 3D printer. Originally, the camera was mounted outside, but the thick plastic caused blurry images and glare. Therefore, I designed an internal mounting system with a connector that snaps onto the piping. The arm can be extended with additional segments and ends in a cup for my Logitech Pro 9000 webcam, which holds it securely but allows adjustment for optimal angle. The hinge joints are sized to prevent accidental movement. Using the provided STL files, you could create custom mounting components for various surfaces like desks or beams.
