Based on a discussion in this forum thread, I am convinced it is possible to create a compact flex coupling model without excessive file size. As evidence, the wave.ipt file is only 455 KB (232 KB for wave.stp), and weave.iam is 117 KB (241 KB for weave.stp). The challenge lies in making it curved; however, this new method significantly improves upon my previous attempt using coils. To achieve the curved model, I utilized equations curves along with a boundary patch surface.
