WLED based Weather Visualization Lamp This project allows you to build a WLED controlled lamp that provides weather visualization for your area. It uses a combination of the WLED controller software on an ESP8266 controller, along with NodeRed and some MQTT to query weather data and convert that into various visualizations. [Github Link](https://github.com/cegan09/WLED-Weather-Lamp) The lamp itself is inspired by [Surrbradl08's WiFi Controlled Desk Lamp](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3676533) however every piece has been redesigned and modeled from the ground up to fix a number of design elements I didn't like. This new version has features inside the base to better locate and hold the power plug and D1 mini, air vents on the bottom for extra cooling, simplified LED post and mounting with locating features to ensure all LED Strips are lined up, and features to securely attach the top. 3d Printed Parts: 1. The base has a couple different versions, the differences are in the size of the holes for the screws that attach the led post. This part will require supports. Base-heat-set is sized for 4-40 heat set inserts Base-4-40 is sized for 4-40 screws to simply thread into Base-M3 is sized for M3 screws to thread into 2. LED Post has no variations and does not require supports. 3. Top has a few variations, each a different sized hole. Pick the one that suits your button selection requirements. 4. There are two shades, a two layer and 1 layer. I use the two layer but depending on your printer and filament you may prefer one over the other. If you print the two layer make sure your slicer keeps the seams in the same place so you can line them up with the back of the lamp. These are the parts I used, you are welcome to look for substitutes. - [D1 Mini Controller](https://www.amazon.com/IZOKEE-NodeMcu-Internet-Development-Compatible/dp/B076F52NQD/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=D1+mini&qid=1597096194&sr=8-8&tag=tv-auto-20) - [LED strip](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078S6Z9KG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tv-auto-20) DO NOT use the waterproof ones, they will not fit. - [5V power supply](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SWJGZ8V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tv-auto-20) - [Power jack](https://www.amazon.com/ThreeBulls-Pieces-5-5mmx2-1mm-Female-Connector/dp/B01N8VV78D/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=5.5x2.1mm+female+barrel+jack+connector&qid=1599234086&sr=8-4) or use the one that comes with the power supply - [LED Wire](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DC0JQP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tv-auto-20) - [Push Button](https://www.amazon.com/PP-NEST-Pieces-Waterproof-Momentary-ANKG-01/dp/B01LYZSEVB/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=panel+mount+button&qid=1597096618&sr=8-4&tag=tv-auto-20) - Screws, you can use 4-40 or M3. They should be close to 1/4" long - Hot Glue to secure some items in place
