Weather vane (wind direction pointer)
thingiverse
I fly remote-controlled fixed-wing and rotary models - planes and drones in other words. I've been flying quite frequently out of the back garden, which led me to look for a quick way to check wind direction before takeoffs. It seemed like something my kids would enjoy as well, so that's how I came up with this shark design. You'll need an M3 or M4 bolt or a threaded rod and a drill to create holes for the size you have in your shed. I've used a 10mm square tube because it was what I had on hand. A small brass tube works well as a sleeve, but even using a ballpoint pen's outer casing will do the trick. The photos should be self-explanatory, but if someone is having trouble, I'll make a video to help out.
