Weather Station Project

In 2009, our team and I completed a Weather Station Engineering project for an Instrumentation & Measurements class. The challenge involved constructing a PVC pipe weather station to measure temperature, humidity, wind speed, and direction. We created our own electronics board, anemometer, and wind direction indicator. Data acquisition was handled by an NI DaQ and LabVIEW VI. As the previous year's harsh weather disabled most class weather stations, we focused on element protection with a roof. However, it turned out to be unnecessary as we faced minimal snow but strong winds instead. I primarily worked on the LabVIEW VI and overall station construction.
