Weather-Resistant PIR housing 0.0.2
thingiverse
Improvements in version 0.0.1 of this weather-resistant housing for SparkFun's PIR motion sensor include a printable lid that snaps on securely, keyed Cat5 receptors rotating less in the main housing, and additional space by rotating the sensor 90 degrees. To ensure security, caulk the PIR sensor in place. Print the instructions on Makerbot's "medium" setting with one shell for sturdy results that usually don't require cleanup. Remove the fin from the lid before snapping it on to enhance flexibility, and utilize cheap beige RJ45 coupler guts in the threaded Cat5 jack holders.
