Weather display
thingiverse
This enclosure houses a 20x4 LCD display (2004A) with an I2C interface, controlled by a sonoff board upgraded with tasmota firmware. A small motion sensor (AM312) is also integrated for automatic lighting control when standing in front of the display. The weather data is fetched from an internet service and formatted to fit within the 20x4 display using a Node Red flow. A small notch on the inner wall of the enclosure provides extra space for a cable connected to the bottom side of the board, receiving 5 volts to power the LCD display. The tight-fitting frames allow both the display and sonoff board to be pressed into place without glue or screws.
