Weather Dice!

You're not getting the accuracy from weather forecasts that you expect? Why not try predicting the weather yourself with Weather Dice! The warning is that the information below might seem utterly ridiculous. Weather Dice! makes use of advanced 3D printing technology to predict the weather with precision. So-called meteorologists want you to believe that forecasting the weather requires years of education and experience, but you know better than to accept their claims. Just print a few dice, roll them and forecast the weather yourself. The more times you roll the dice, the more accurate your prediction is likely to be. You can even cause changes in the weather if you use the right colors while printing. At least that's what might happen. Weather Dice Faces include: Sun Moon & Star Cloudy Storm Cloud Rain Snow To make sense of it all, I printed three dice in blue, green and black, using different colors to determine which dice should be read first. For example, if the roll results show that the first die was rolled as Cloudy, with a color of blue; second roll came up Rain with green color; third roll came out as Moon & Star in black then your prediction is likely cloudy weather now, followed by rain later today and clear sky by nightfall. Here are some step-by-step instructions: The Weather Dice design was done using OpenScad, beginning from the LetterBlock.scad file developed by Marius Kintel. Before you start printing, ensure that you have reduced the print size in your printing software. The standard height for a 16mm game dice is what usually works well. To print my weather dice I used Cura 15.04 with these parameters: Layer height of 0.06mm Shell thickness of 1.2mm Bottom/Top fill density set to 100%
