Wearable Ironman Arc Reactor
thingiverse
I designed this project about two years ago for a cousin's birthday celebration. It was built specifically so that 1" nylon straps could be utilized to wear it. The battery compartment is configured to hold a 9V battery and a slide switch, allowing the straps to come together at the back and then separate again to the front - effectively creating a backpack setup. This project necessitates 12-5mm White LEDs, as well as three Blue rectangular LEDs, which can be obtained from RadioShack. It also requires various resistors. To create the lenses, I cut Lexan sheets into desired shapes and sanded the central lens to achieve a frosted appearance. Alternatively, you could have them printed. Unfortunately, I do not have sufficient photos to showcase the construction process.
