With the new Apple Watches on their way, I needed a placeholder gift so I created this. It's a quick creation but comes together beautifully with superglue and a little spray paint. It takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to print everything. Adding another 45 minutes to finish, paint, and assemble will complete the project. Band ------- I used ninjaflex for the band, however any flexible material should work. Ensure it prints slowly without retractions and small layers (1500mm/min, 0.2mm layers). Increase your top and bottom solid layers to match the 9 total layers in the band print. Cutting the filament beforehand and placing it above the printer helped me achieve a smooth feed. Watch Body --------- The parts are separate for easy painting. I used PLA with a 0.1mm layer height and batch printed them, giving the clasp time to cool without supports. Assembly -------- 1. After any painting and finishing, superglue the button and crown to the side. 2. Put the three holes on each end of the band through the three pegs on the watch face. Feed the ends through the slots in the watch body. The top band (with two holes) goes nearest the crown. Apply some generous superglue to the six holes at the bottom of the watch body and pull the bands apart to draw the faceplate down into the body, then clamp it for a bit. 3. Superglue the pulse sensor to the bottom. 4. With the watch facing up, place the clasp underneath the hole in the top band. Add some superglue and center the top clasp above it, then clamp for a bit.
