This recoil spring spacer not only replaces the stock one, but it also prevents the barrel from wobbling or leaning to one direction, effectively working as a barrel guide. I tested it on a we glock19 0.2J gun and it showed some noticeable group size reduction, and some movement of shot groups in upward direction both at 5m. Since it keeps the barrel to stay right beneath the slide all time, bottom latch of the outer barrel and the gun's lower frame those not collide when it cycles, hence reducing the stress applied to your fragile outer barrel.
