Way too Sturdy Vivo Monitor Desk Mount Stand Clamp
thingiverse
I made a ridiculously robust clamp for my son's Vivo Monitor Desk Mount (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009S750LA). He has switched from a dual monitor setup to a laptop plus external monitor setup, and we wanted to reuse the monitor arm for a laptop monitor arm mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2011527). I used this as an exercise in avoiding supports with PETG. It took several attempts, but I finally came up with a design that doesn't require any support material on my Prusa MK3. *Please make sure you print the clamp exactly as shown in the picture!* This design is probably excessively sturdy. I didn't want to risk structural failure when putting weight on the clamp due to the fact layer orientation isn't ideal for something that needs to be incredibly strong, like a clamp for a laptop monitor arm mount. So far, the clamp shows no signs of fatigue.
