Wavy Clock

Wavy Clock

myminifactory

Just a Minute! Inspired by the #WaveyWednesday movement on Twitter which was sparked by Ferjerez's wavy creations, I designed this "Wavy Clock". Made to take a clock mechanism and some clock hands, once printed, it can be hung in the home or office for a unique touch. While not particularly tricky to print, you may encounter some slicers that don't slice it perfectly in vase mode due to the hole in the center. Slic3r PE added extra layers to the top which, in turn, will mess up the spiral. Cura does an excellent job. Kisslicer appears to slice correctly, but I haven't tried printing gCode generated by Kisslicer for this model. Make sure, once you slice in vase mode, that you examine the preview mode in your slicer (which displays the tool path) and confirm that the center hole is not covered and that the vase path looks valid. For an extra accent, if your printer supports it, try a layer change to highlight the numbers. If you like this design, please share it! If you print this model, please consider posting your creation!
