WaveShare 7" Touch Screen Case
thingiverse
A Version 1.0 screen case is designed specifically for a 7" screen, intended to be mounted on a printer frame and connected to a Raspberry Pi 3 as an "on-printer" computer. The screen will require four M3/M4 5mm screws and nuts for mounting the screen itself, plus four more of each type for face cover and back-plate mounting. A sturdy backplate is also necessary, made from a small sheet of 2 mm aluminum cut to size with holes for mounting. For version 2.0 improvements are needed: Decrease the width of the left vertical bar on the faceplate to avoid any screen issues caused by an incorrect or inaccurate print. The faceplate-body connectors need to be thinner so that there is more room for the screen. The screen mounting spaces should be as thin as the faceplate-body connectors for a better fit. The HDMI and USB hole ports require correct spacing adjustments. Additionally, nut-trap sizes must be adjusted since they were either too small or printed inaccurately. Finally, increase wall thickness by 0.5-1.0 mm to add more strength to the overall structure.
