This is a mask clip designed specifically to alleviate ear discomfort during extended periods of wearing masks with ear loops at the hospital where I work as a healthcare professional. The design was created to address the limitations of existing solutions, which often fall short in one way or another. To overcome these shortcomings, I dedicated the time and effort required to craft an optimized design that can be efficiently printed in large quantities. One notable advantage of this design is its ability to be packed densely on a build plate without requiring any brim or supports, thanks to its concentric curve configuration. This feature allows for fast and smooth printing with no sharp corners to compromise print quality. Additionally, the design's flexibility when printed in PLA makes it comfortable to wear, while also suggesting that PETG may be another suitable material option. Overall, this mask clip provides superior contact comfort compared to flat printed designs I've previously handed out due to its strategic print orientation.
