Wavelight2

This is an updated version of https://pinshape.com/items/394... - I modified the cross-section shape of the wavy parts from rectangles to ellipses to strengthen them, reducing movement when printing upper sections. The change in cross-section helped somewhat, but results were still not as good as hoped for, resulting in bumpy tops on the waves. The good news is that spaces between the waves are clean and smooth, achieving a desired light pattern effect with an LED lit lamp. I also decreased tolerance used to create STL files, making curves much smoother now. The updated lamp is about 10% larger than https://pinshape.com/items/394.... It printed in 33 1/4 hours using a layer height of 0.200 mm and a print speed of 100 mm/sec. The lamp is designed for an LED "puck" light. Battery-operated lights cost around $4 each; searching the web for "LED puck light" will yield several sources. This blog page tells where to get wall-powered lights that are brighter and work well: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/wall-powered-led-lights/.
