Wave FIFO Battery Holder - XXL Remix

Wave FIFO Battery Holder - XXL Remix

I ran out of space in the original Wave Battery Holder, so I experimented a bit to make larger versions. The AA-Version with 3 waves holds 26 batteries.

In the original I never had any problems with the batteries going down the slopes. With this big version it frequently happens that the batteries twist while sliding down and then they fall out. If the holder is at least half full, that's not a problem anymore.

My advice: only print this if you want to keep a reasonable number of batteries inside.

If you want to modify the original script yourself, just change the following lines:

AA:
amplitude=26; // Width of the wave
compression=6.18; // How tight cycles are

AAA:
amplitude = 29;
compression = 6.48;

Adjust the number of waves to your liking:
cycles = 2; // Number of cycles in the wave

If you want to adapt to different batteries, adjust the battery dimensions and make test STL. Measure the horizontal width of the curve and adjust the compression until it's about 12-15% wider than the battery thickness.

And remember: be patient with OpenSCAD. Opening the project took around half an hour for me, final rendering between 3 minutes and 5 hours.
