Waterproof Multi-Outlet Outdoor Extension Cords

Waterproof Multi-Outlet Outdoor Extension Cords

I recently discovered some remarkably soft gaskets that make outdoor extension cords waterproof. They work exceptionally well, so I designed these little plugs to keep multi-outlet cords dry even when not all outlets are in use. The extended areas make them easy to pull off and on. I highly recommend printing them with Nylon Bridge filament because it's extremely tough and the layers won't separate. ABS or PLA might break off inside the outlet if it's too tight. There are two files available: one plain, the other featuring a cute character. Both work identically. You can find the necessary filament at Taulman 3D or on Amazon by searching for Nylon Bridge. The waterproof gaskets are available at Rainblock or on Amazon through this link: B00ZE3FP6C. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Creator X Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.20 Infill: 50% Notes: Heating Bed: 70° Extruder Temp: 250° Print Speed: 33 mm/sec Retract Distance: 4mm Perimeters: 4
