Built a waterproof housing as a proof of concept, leveraging printed TPU as an o-ring seal.\nHoles are designed to fit 2.5 screws, while the lid features 3mm in thickness and approximately 2.5 mm of threading.\nThe o-ring is created using TPU material. To test its effectiveness, I printed two prototypes, filling one with red food coloring and the other with a paper towel.\nInitially, Version 1 failed to meet expectations. However, after adjusting the model, I released Version 2, which addressed the issue I had overlooked. I plan to conduct further testing tonight.\nVersion 2 performed flawlessly in both holding liquid inside and keeping it out. Although one of the prototypes failed after about six hours due to a minor error with my extrusion width, I corrected the issue and achieved excellent results upon retesting. This method is now being utilized for project boxes that will be exposed to outdoor conditions.
