OK, I had to look up EDC – it stands for Every Day Carry. Things that are part of your personal daily kit. In this little capsule, you could carry pills, a band-aid, matches, emergency money, or a few precious sheets of toilet paper. It has a rubber seal to keep everything nice and dry should you end up in the drink. And also a handy clip to attach it to your bag or belt loop.

For the seal, instead of an O-ring (who has just the right size of O-ring handy?), it uses a short piece of 1.75mm dia. TPU flexible filament. You just cut the ends off square and make it just a little longer than it needs to be (maybe 0.5mm extra) and then tuck it into the groove in the cap. The extra length will help compress the two cut ends together. And as you screw the cap tight, the rubber is compressed further to form a watertight seal. If you don't need your capsule to be watertight, you can skip the seal altogether.

The cap part includes built-in supports around the thread and for the hook. Just make sure you print with a 0.2mm layer height so that they break away easily. Print the body and the flap pieces with 0.2mm layer height as well.

After printing, break the supports away and then slide the flap piece into the groove in the cap, flexing it inward as you do so that the flap ends up on the inside of the hook. To make sure the flap doesn't slide back out on you, use a tiny drop of superglue at the base of the flap.

Lastly, I've included two different versions of the cap: one plain and one with little gription bumps. Take your pick.
