Designing a Waterproof Box for a Solar Charger To encase a solar charger securely, I required a waterproof box that could protect it from the elements. My solution was to create an adjustable design, allowing the dimensions of the box to be tailored to specific needs. A visual inspection of the accompanying picture will reveal which parameters can be adjusted to suit your requirements. In addition to the waterproof box, you'll need a silicon bead to function as the sealing gasket. I've successfully employed this design in creating a solar-powered charger for my Weatherstation by integrating a solar cell, lithium battery, and charge controller board.
