Watering spout for 2 liter bottle
thingiverse
This 2L bottle watering spout, featured in Make Magazine's Winter 2013 Ultimate Guide to 3D printing, was initially designed and printed on a Makerbot Cupcake 3D printer. Due to its age and the advancements of modern 3D printers, it may not work optimally if printed with a newer device. However, there are several derivatives available which may better suit your requirements. The spout is designed for easy repurposing of plastic bottles into useful watering devices for seedlings or small plants. It features 1/8" thick walls, making it durable and unavailable in stores. A modified design file has been uploaded to address sealing issues and add threads to the bottle. If leaking persists, consider using a rubber gasket from a 2L cap as a makeshift washer. Multiple derivatives are available, including adaptations for milk jugs, watering hoses, and low-pressure garden hose nozzles. For optimal use, run the spout through a dishwasher before using it to water plants.
