Watering Can Spout

Watering Can Spout

thingiverse

My wife was complaining that her watering can spout - the part with holes in it that makes water "sprinkle" had a hole rusted in it, making it not worth sprinkling at all. Out came calipers and FreeCAD, and after a few hours: voila! A new sprinkler doodad for the watering can was made. I made this one on my PrintrBot Simple Metal using 100% fill density with four shells (for strength). Print bed temperature was set to eighty degrees Celsius and SmartBuy gray ABS extruded at 250 degrees Celsius. A little AquaNet Super Hold hair spray on the Kapton tape made it come out solid, nice, and flat. It even sprinkled correctly on the first test. Woot! The threads came out a little sloppy - I printed this without support, and the threads might need a little support. YMMV. Also, note that I've included the FreeCAD source file with the STL so you can do whatever you want with it. Have big fun.
