An alternative version has been crafted due to the destruction of the original by sunlight. The design features a threaded ring that screws onto the can, with a removable cover for easy cleaning. Translucent blue PLA was used for enhanced visibility and ease of maintenance; however, algae may obstruct holes in the cover. The threads are sourced from the Screw Library by syvwlch. The lid is a snap-fit and does not require threads. A test print can be conducted to check compatibility with water cans. Adjustments may be made if needed. The cover fits tightly but may leak if the print quality is rough; a smoother print should prevent this issue. For optimal performance, it's recommended to maintain the current number of holes (31) in the cover, as adding more may disrupt water flow. Experiment with for loops to create unique hole patterns on the cover. Enjoy the printing process!
