Watercool Heatkiller GPU-X3 Core Extension / Spacer
thingiverse
I absolutely comprehend why Watercool didn't create an extension for the Heatkiller X3 Core specifically designed for graphic cards with greater depth than standard. It seems they overlooked this crucial aspect, so I took matters into my own hands and created one myself. Now you can reuse the universal GPU cooler from Heatkiller on larger graphics cards. To print it, use 100% infill and apply a layer of Universal sealpaste to secure all moving parts. I chose not to sand the piece, but instead treated it with acetone to give it a smooth finish. Alternatively, omitting this step might yield better results, resulting in a more subtle appearance that blends seamlessly with the original components. To assemble the extension, drill 30mm long M3 screws through the existing holes on the cooler and graphic card, providing a secure connection between the two components.
