Human: half-pan for watercolor paint sets. Based on the Windsor & Newton Cotman Travel Set Half-Pan, planning to use it to switch out colors. Notes after printing: Printed on standard quality/resolution with a raft and white filament, it's a bit more flexible than the original, however it snaps in and out of the set's case perfectly! Bit tricky to get the raft off, may not need one on other printers, or turning the model upside down would probably work. One half-pan with raft took 1.4g and 8 minutes to print (on MakerBot 2x). Printed 4 of the single file together, on a raft, 5.4g and about 16 minutes. Printing at a higher resolution might make these sturdier, as the walls are 1mm, so on .2 they get two not-entirely-connected rings of material. Insert rant about how my watercolor kit came with two blues that are made with the same pigment. One has some white added. Artistic rage! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 10% Notes: Rafts may not be necessary, the particular printer I'm using needs them, YMMV. Post-Printing Sanded down edges and did a little bit of acetone dip to seal off the top edge and insides. W&N pan on the left, printed and finished on the right. Second two paints in box are in printed pans (Labeled Maya and Prussian)
