Water Wheel
cults3d
I made this water wheel for my son who can't get enough of playing with water outside. The design lets the wheel spin around a stationary axle or rod, allowing the flange parts to rotate freely around it. To keep everything stable, you can hold up the axle or rod with a bucket, some twigs like in the pictures, or simply place it on stones if you're playing near a small creek. I added matching washers to the axle to ensure the water wheel stays fixed in its direction. The entire thing is lightweight, uses minimal materials, and still holds up well enough for playtime fun. The main body of the wheel consists of two parts that need to be glued together. I've also prepared flanges for axles or rods with diameters of 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 1/2", and 3/8" for added flexibility. With an outer diameter of around 185mm, this water wheel should fit comfortably on most build plates. Have fun playing with it!
