This ancient water tower was constructed in the early 1700s, its purpose clear: to supply the nearby Sugar Mill with a steady flow of water drawn up from the local hillside. Although the well remains operational today, it stands idle, no longer serving its original function. Meanwhile, the surrounding pasture has been repurposed as a grazing area for goats, while deer roam freely through the landscape, drawn to the area's natural bounty. Unfortunately, the old well has become a magnet for bees, necessitating periodic hive removals to maintain safe access.
