You'll need to leave the water tap tip alone before taking this contraption and binding it with a rubber band to the tap. Next, fill it with citrus acid cleaner - be cautious with this cleaning fluid. Overnight, it should clean the water tap tip nicely; you might want to repeat the process until it's spotless. After one or two cycles, you can easily remove it by hand and scrape out any dirt particles inside before screwing it back onto the tap right away. If the PLA isn't waterproof, consider coating the interior with resin - a common method in car repair that doesn't require fiberglass mat.
