#WORK IN PROGRESS #Water resistant phone holder for showers This design is based on a current phone holder for showers: https://sc02.alicdn.com/kf/H97462ff5463543e19f59b1df0b4f420d6/245003976/H97462ff5463543e19f59b1df0b4f420d6.jpg_.webp I thought I would try to make my own version, but also make the design parametric/customisable. This is still a work in progress, and depending on how useful/popular it is, I may continue to expand on it. Printing is in progress. This is support-free and fully 3D-printable. You will however need 4 circular magnets and a transparent, flexible film of your choice. I use 6x3mm magnets and intend to use a thin fep sheet for the film. This is the first time I am attempting to make a customisable model with this level of complexity, so some mistakes may be apparent. Please leave a comment and I'll take a look and do my best to address the issues when I have the time. --- #CUSTOMISING THE SIZE You can make the adjustments by changing the width, length and thickness of the phone. Additionally, if you do not have 6x3mm round magnets, there is an option to adjust those too, but the shape cannot be changed. All the changes can be made in the "Change Parameters" tab under "Solid - Modify" in Fusion360. I have tested the customisation with the dimensions of an iPad and a Samsung note 10, and the parametric scaling was working. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST START FROM THE ORIGINAL FILE WHEN MAKING ANY CHANGES OR IT WILL NOT WORK. Eg. Inputting iPad dimensions then inputting any other device dimensions may result in errors. --- #STL Files The included stl files are sized to fit the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, which is what I am using now. You can export each component from Fusion360 as an stl file (youtube videos available on how to do this if you are not sure). --- #Assembly: 1. Cut the film along the edges of the gasket. 2. Attach the film between the gasket and the frontplate. *Optional: punch holes for the registration pins or use glue to adhere the film to the gasket and frontplate. There are snap fit edges on the sides to help align and attach the gasket to the lid without glue - further testing needed for verification* 3. Either insert suction cups into the 4 holes on the backplate, or simply hang with hooks/screw the lid against your shower wall. 4. Place your device into the backplate. The backplate is angled such that it should not tilt forward and fall. 5. Cover with the frontplate-gasket assembly. --- #Disclaimer: This is not a fully waterproof design. Do not submerge in water or place under heavy water flow. Not sales of the model or its printed parts is allowed under the creative commons licence, unless specifically given permission from TrigoKlei.
