Water Lock
thingiverse
If you've ever wondered how canal water locks work, this model shows the basic operation of the lock. We included a simplified version of the benchy to help illustrate our points. You can use the original design, but it's top-heavy and not suited for floating. Small boats: if you want to fit two boats into the lock, print them at 70% scale, but keep in mind that boats printed at such a scale can be a choking hazard for small children, so keep them away from kids under three years old. Boats printed at 100% scale are large enough to be used around small children. It's difficult to make a 3D print waterproof, so it's best to use this toy in a sink or bathtub, or when outdoors. We printed our model at 0.2 layer height and 12% fill.
