Print the parts, cut the 25 mm plastic tube to the desired length, trim the bottom of the 25 mm plastic tube into a zigzag pattern to enable water flow beneath the buoy. Insert the plastic tube into the bottom cage and level its base with the cage's floor. Draw the "top corner w scale" up to the top of the plastic tube. Push the buoy and red straw together, securing them if desired by applying glue. Place the buoy inside the tube, then stand the assembled device in the corner of a pot and re-level the top and bottom sections as needed. Fill the pot with clay balls, plant your chosen specimen into the container, and begin adding water to the root system. Continue filling the pot until the straw on the indicator reaches its maximum level.
