To access the water supply hose, you'll need to carefully remove the cylinder base at the bottom using a knife, as shown in the accompanying image. The water jet device is designed to produce a vacuum by harnessing the flow of water. This tool has various applications: 1. In chemistry labs, it's used for vacuum distillation. 2. For vacuum deposition of metals. 3. It's also useful in physics lab experiments. 4. Additionally, it can be employed as a spray gun. Our lab's low-pressure water supply resulted in a maximum vacuum reading of 30mm Hg or 0.04 bar with this device. The achieved vacuum is dependent on both the water temperature and pressure from the supply line. This water jet is designed for use with hoses that are 8-10 millimeters in diameter. To enhance performance, you can attach a hose to the exhaust tube to reduce spatter and improve vacuum efficiency.
