JET Propulsion Unit for E-Surfboards: A Thrilling DIY Project. Impeller Diameter stands at an impressive 64 mm, spinning at a blistering 16000 rpm. The resulting thrust reaches an astonishing 300 - 400 Newtons of force. To power this unit effectively, a motor with a substantial power output is required, ranging from 6000 to 11000 Watts. A 310kv Motor from Lehner or Scorpion is the ideal choice for this setup. Crucially, ampere current measurement at full throttle is essential to prevent overheating and potential fires in the ESC. Never exceed the limits of your ESC, motor, or battery under any circumstances. During testing, keep a close eye on the temperature of both your motor and battery. A short pause every 5 seconds can help determine if either component is reaching critical temperatures. It's worth noting that some manufacturers may quote overly optimistic maximum values. The housing for this unit should be printed without infill to ensure optimal performance.
