I've Developed This Water Jet Drive for Large Boats, and It's a Game Changer! This powerful jet drive is specifically designed for big boats, and I'm thrilled to share its impressive performance. During my test setup, the flow rate reached an incredible 192 L/m - you can see the details below. With an exit velocity of 2.1 m/s, my goal was to create a high-flow, low-pressure pump that packs a punch. That's why an axial pump was the perfect solution. After four iterations, I've perfected this outstanding pump! The only tweak left is swapping out the propeller for a printed version. Here's the test setup: * About 1 meter of 40mm high-pressure PVC piping * 1x 90-degree elbow * 2x 15-degree bends * An overall elevation difference of 400mm Power Plant: I'm using a 540-sized motor (3300kV) with a 3:1 gearbox, driven by a 2-cell Redback LiPo. Propeller: The prop I bought from the local hobby shop is a 2-bladed model with an OD of 56mm and a 4mm thread center. Shaft: The shaft is made of 4mm rigid stainless steel with an 8mm brass housing, printed with ABS.
