Water Hose End for LEGO TECHNIC (Water tight, used on model fire truck)
thingiverse
This is an older design of mine that's meant to go on the end of a small pipe to direct water effectively. I originally used it in my LEGO TECHNIC Fire Truck model, which utilized a small non-Lego pump to pump real water through the system. You can see how I implemented this design in action by watching the video at https://youtu.be/k29jUfUAZis and the main video at https://youtu.be/PH5SjyulIHA. Unfortunately, I've lost track of which version of the design I ended up using in the final build, but I've uploaded some images highlighting the differences between them. Specifically, you can see how the shape of the connector and diameter varied between versions. Additionally, I've included an image that illustrates the optimal orientation for printing this part on an FDM machine. To assemble the piece correctly, you'll need to glue the 'Inner Hose' component into place within the 'hose' component in order to achieve a watertight seal. In my case, I used super glue, but plastic cement could also work - feel free to experiment and see which one works best for your needs.
