Water Generator Kite

This project features nanotechnology-based condensation surfaces on a kite that collects water at various altitudes. Collected water flows through lightweight, rigid tubes to a central point via gravity or a peristaltic pump. Carbon fiber materials are preferred for the frame, tubules, and joints; however, less expensive alternatives like balsa or bamboo can be used. The kite wing can be traditional kite materials or nanoparticle-coated plastic to boost condensation potential. As an alternative to carbon fiber reinforced tubules, NBD nanotechnology coated strings may be utilized for water channeling from the kite to the ground. This innovative concept applies to all kite designs and aims to address water scarcity issues.
