WATER FUEL Stan Meyer Bobbin
thingiverse
Based on A.R.'s innovative design found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:415761 but completely reimagined from the ground up. This bobbin is carefully crafted to be printed as one piece in a horizontal direction. By doing so, we sidestep the inherent weaknesses associated with printing cylinders vertically. I had firsthand experience with this issue, as my previous attempt at creating such a spool ended in disaster - it stretched and broke while winding. Thanks to this revised design, which eliminates the critical flaw found in traditional vertical printing methods, the risk of failure is significantly reduced. This enhanced bobbin is also 2mm shorter than its original counterpart, allowing for some extra room to account for potential stretching, thereby ensuring a snug fit within the core. For your convenience, I have included a separate file with detailed support guidelines. If you're serious about using this spool to its full capacity, it's highly recommended that you opt for a high-performance carbon fiber filament. You can now order this premium spool from Shapeways at http://shpws.me/Me49. Please note that it's ideal for use with ferrite core UY1658: You can source the exact component needed from http://www.aliexpress.com/item/large-watt-U-shape-transformer-ferrite-core-UY1660-machines-equipments-10pairs-lot/493680068.html A critical update has been made on 13th January, 2016 to provide users with a bobbin featuring a thicker center.
