Water drop projector microscope
thingiverse
This is an innovative approach to building a microscope that harnesses the power of a clear water drop instead of traditional glass lenses. The small water droplet functions as a spherical lens with remarkable magnifying capabilities. To assemble this setup, I employ a standard syringe to hold the water drop in place and couple it with a 5mW laser emitting at 405nm - although other wavelengths can be used with similar results. This DIY project is inspired by the original design found here: http://www.szertar.com/letoltheto/lezermikroszkop.pdf
