After dealing with a year's worth of spilled water while refilling my ceramic crock from a five-gallon bottle, which I fill myself, I stumbled upon a video that demonstrated the simple trick of placing Saran wrap over the mouth of the bottle and securing it with a rubber band. This hack allowed me to flip the bottle upside down with minimal spillage. All I needed was something to pierce through the Saran wrap, and my spilling woes were finally over. I created the 2D shape in Qcad, imported it into Scad where it was transformed into a solid by revolving it, and then sliced it using Cura. This design fits standard 2.5-gallon crocks perfectly. The central projection would need to be smaller in diameter if you want to pierce a store-bought bottle with a sealed cap.
