The primary objective of my project was to ensure low costs, utilization of easily accessible components, and maintaining structural rigidity. To achieve this, I utilized a spot-welded mesh around the pipes, which are secured using star nuts commonly found in bicycle forks. By rolling the mesh with the pipe, transportation is simplified. In the frame, the mesh is tensioned by fixing it at the bottom pipe between rectangle tubes, while ensuring proper water drainage. The upper pipe is then tightened and secured to maintain optimal tension. The water drainage system is crafted from standard PVC tubing. This design can be easily adapted to use sign post steel tubes, clamps, or even telescopic perforated tubes such as Telestrut or Telespar with minor modifications. The end result is a water fog net that is simple to set up and highly compact for transportation purposes.
