Water Bouncing Skipping Arrow Attachment

An arrow attachment that slides onto the arrow shaft and is secured by the arrow head. When shot low and parallel to a body of water the attachment will cause the arrow to skip as it contacts the water. According to this youtube video, a modification like this was used by Uralic peoples to hunt water fowl. Tod's Workshop also has an interesting demonstration of these bouncing arrows. I have tested these a little bit in my backyard with some bins full of water and it does indeed skip. I would like to more thoroughly test it at a lake or pond when I get the chance. I've included 2 scad files and 2 STLs. One for the standard (pictured) size and a thinner one. The thinner one does not work as well. I had trouble getting it to skip on water it more often than not dove under the water. I think having a 45 degree angle or greater on the front edge like the larger one has is key to getting it to skip easily. Please don't use these to hunt, they may not work well for that for a number of reasons and could maim an animal instead of cleanly killing it. #SPORTXCULTS
