This spooky Halloween pumpkin version of my water bottle tote attaches to your belt loop, perfect for keeping your hands free while strolling through town on Halloween night. It prints in two parts, secured using acetone, a potent solvent found in nail polish remover, and can be customized with a ring from a keychain and a simple carabiner clip. For the example shown here, I began printing in orange, paused once the flat portion was complete, switched to black filament, and resumed the print. Keep in mind that not all water bottles are created equal; some may have a slightly larger base or inner diameter, making them less compatible with this design. The stl file provided has an inner diameter of approximately 67mm (2.64 inches), so you may want to scale it up by one or two percent to ensure a snug fit on various water bottles. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No rafts were used in this print job. Supports: Yes, supports are required for the top portion of the design, particularly where the ring attaches. However, you can also print it at 15-20% infill for a lighter weight, but I prefer to go up to at least 50% infill for added strength and durability. Notes: The base of the design requires no supports, while the top portion needs two or three supports to prevent warping. Printing at low infill levels (less than 50%) may result in a fragile long shaft that is prone to breakage. To assemble the tote, simply print the two parts, wipe the inside opening of the top portion with acetone, and dip the top of the rod from the lower portion in acetone before pressing them together. Wipe any excess acetone on top of and below the joint, holding it until it sets. Finally, run a ring through the hoop and connect the carabiner clip to complete your water bottle tote.
