Water Bottle Rocket Nozzle
thingiverse
This is a nozzle designed specifically for a water bottle rocket that requires sealing to withstand high pressure - up to 75 psi max. The nozzle perfectly fits the Pitsco AquaPort2 at the bottom, leaving ample space to securely glue a standard-sized bottle cap on top. A 9mm nozzle hole ensures a snug fit with the new fittings in place. To ensure proper water flow while maintaining a tight seal, carefully cut the bottle cap to accommodate it around the lip of a standard bottle. Once prepared, apply a layer of sand and hot glue the nozzle into its designated position for easy swapping between bottles. The Inventor file has been included for users who need to adjust the throat diameter (increasing only) or throat angle (135 degrees off walls with a 90-degree cone). A visual representation of my design process is available, showcasing the various iterations I went through - from 3DS Max's initial failure to Inventor 2.0, which successfully passed the Aquaport locking clamp test. The final version has been printed and shown both with and without the glued-in bottle cap for reference.
