Water bottle Rocket Launcher

Water bottle Rocket Launcher

thingiverse

This is a custom-built launcher that I designed, drawing inspiration from Ian Clark's original Clark cable tie launcher design as described on his website here http://hazchem.smoke.com.au/~ic/cable-tie.html. The printed components of this launcher snap together onto a user-designed PVC launch pad and secure the water bottle in place using cable ties. A custom-cut cam made from acrylic is bent into shape, but I've also included a printable version for users who prefer to 3D print their own. Some pilots may be so eager to take off that they'll yank on the pull cord with great force, which is why I recommend adding a breakaway cord or magnetic latch to prevent the launcher from being pulled away. For more information on assembling and building this launcher, check out the instructions in the assembly section.
