Hi everyone, my name is Zach and I'm excited to share with you a project I've been working on for the past month - a 3D printed bottle opener. As a 14-year-old with no prior experience in 3D modeling, this was definitely an interesting challenge that pushed me to learn and grow. I started by interviewing people with limited hand mobility to understand their needs and pain points. What I found out was that opening bottles was a common problem they faced every day. This gave me the idea for my project - creating a simple yet functional bottle opener that would make their lives easier. My goal was to design something straightforward while still ensuring it worked effectively. After experimenting with different designs, I settled on one that used minimal filament and printed quickly - about 35 minutes, to be exact. The result is a sturdy bottle opener that anyone can use, regardless of their hand strength or mobility.
