Marching band students globally undergo a physically and mentally exhaustive activity, spending hours outside practicing drills and formations in summer heat. Staying hydrated is crucial as sun exposure can lead to health issues. However, breaks are not always frequent, and percussionists carrying heavy instruments struggle to carry water bottles. As a marching mallet-percussionist myself, I've noticed that this is an issue for bands everywhere. To solve this problem, 3D printing offers a solution: a harness attachment with a pivoting water bottle holder that allows drumline members to keep their hands free while staying hydrated. The design can be customized and printed at home or public libraries, making it accessible for all students.
