Watches stand

A minimalist watches stand made from bamboo sticks or metal/wooden rods. I used barbecue skewers for this purpose, but any kind of 3mm rods/sticks should work.

You can make the stand using arbitrarily long rods to fit your watches collection - the stand on the photos is 20cm long, fitting 3-4 watches nicely.

Print instructions

There are two print files: stand.stl and stand_hollow.stl. The first one has blind holes, while the second one the through holes, allowing for easier assembly. I heavily recommend to use stand.stl for one side and stand_hollow.stl for the other side of the stand for easier assembly.

I recommend using same-length 3mm rods with dull/flat ends. I used sharp bamboo skewers, but they require trimming the pointy ends, which can be unsafe. Remember about using a proper safety equipment (especially the safety glasses) and use a fret saw instead of wire cutters, which tend to send the sharp ends flying.

The rods/sticks need to be glued into the holes - I used a standard cyanoacrylate glue. I recommend to place the rods loosely in the through holes first and then glue them in the blind ones one by one. After that adjust the position of the part with through holes and secure with glue.
